This policy explains how FuelFlux ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information through this website (fuelflux.co.za) and when you contact us. We handle personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• When you visit this website: the site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary security cookie, for example if your browser is asked to complete a security check. It also processes standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• When you email us: your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss or provide our services.
• To keep this website and our systems secure.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share personal information collected through this website and by email only with service providers that help us run our business, under terms that require them to protect it. These are our website host and security provider (Cloudflare) and our email provider (Zoho). Some of these providers may process information outside South Africa. Where they do, we rely on safeguards that POPIA recognises for cross-border transfers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Data we process for clients

When FuelFlux processes data on behalf of a fuel-retail client, such as site sales data or CCTV footage, we act as that client's operator, on the client's instructions. We use that data only for the purposes agreed with the client and apply appropriate security safeguards. Questions about that data should be directed to the site owner, who is the responsible party for it, and we will help them respond.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, and ask for access to it. You may also ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we process it. To make a request, email nels@fuelflux.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
